Blackbeard the Pirate :: Children’s Theatre

Baumholder Child Youth & School Services did it again, bringing Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) to our community. MCT is a non-profit organization and theatre camp based in Missoula, Montana that provides week-long theatre camps around the United States and internationally.

You may remember Missoula Children’s Theatre’s visit last year when Alex made his stage debut playing a rascally raccoon in Red Riding Hood You can check out the post I wrote and videos by clicking here :: Raccoons Rule

This year’s show was Blackbeard the Pirate. Auditions were held on a Monday.  Alex was cast as a Sailor and Andy a Parrot. They worked hard and looked forward to rehearsal each day of the week.  Despite our numerous attempts to get a sneak peek or some insider information on the show, both of them remained tight lipped wanting it to be a surprise. To prepare for their roles, Alex didn’t shave for the entire week while Andy reduced his vocabulary to sqawks and bawks.

On Saturday, Alex and Andy along with the rest of their cast mates, put on a fine show before an audience of over a hundred people.

Here are a few highlights from the show!
