day trip :: Luxembourg City

Only a 1 1/2 hour drive from our front door, Luxembourg City is a great destination for a day trip.

A place of interest that we didn’t visit is the Second World War Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial. It is located within the city limits of Luxembourg at Hamm. This cemetery is the final resting place of 5,076 American military dead, including General George S. Patton. There is also a memorial to 371 Americans whose remains were never recovered or identified.

  1. What a beautiful city. Looks like we need to visit again so we can see new cities and flea markets!! The boys look like they were enjoying their adventure–and Ari just resting!!
