On Saturday, we decided to take advantage of a break in the wet weather to explore the nearby town of Leuven. Leuven is the capital of the province of Flemish Brabant in the Flemish Region, Belgium. It is located about 30 kilometers east of Brussels and home to the Catholic Univeristy of Leuven, the oldest Catholic university still in existence.
Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewing group and one of the top five largest consumer goods companies in the world is also in Leuven. A tour of the Stella Artois brewery is in our future!
